And there were fireworks!! Nothing small but a real and pretty good firework show, probably from the military base. More than anything else today it was a neat and touching experience to watch fireworks celebrating my country's independence while in another country.

July 4th, 2010
This was an unusual and unforgettable Independence Day for me. It started a little rough but thanks to a few Good Samaritans I arrived at church safe and just in time (lesson learned: don't forget the money). After church the Young Single Adults gathered at someone's apartment for a little 4th of July party. We had hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, sodas, potato casserole and cherry cobbler...YUM!!! There were probably 30 to 40 of us and we had a lot of fun.
And there were fireworks!! Nothing small but a real and pretty good firework show, probably from the military base. More than anything else today it was a neat and touching experience to watch fireworks celebrating my country's independence while in another country.
